FESTIVAL OF FLIGHT
DIGGERS REST
21ST MARCH 2010
The Festival Of Flight was held to celebrate 100 years since the
very
first Plane flight in Australia made by Harry Houdini in 1910.
There was plenty to see and do for the whole family,
with
carnival rides, market stalls, live music and plenty of different displays.
A hall was set up with exhibits about Harry Houdini’s life,
and a reasonably large scaled model of the plane,
which
he flew across Diggers rest back in 1910
There was also a small car show with around 100 vehicles,
ranging from vintage, veteran and classic cars, hotrods,
vintage motorbikes and steam engines.
